Understanding God's Will for Your Life

"What is God's will for my life?" It's one of the most common questions people bring to Ask Jesus—and one of the most important.
The Good News
Much of God's will is already revealed in Scripture:
"He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?" (Micah 6:8)
For Specific Decisions
When facing a specific choice:
1. Seek wisdom from above. "If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach." (James 1:5)
2. Consult wise counsel. Plans succeed with advisers (Proverbs 15:22).
3. Pay attention to peace. "Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts." (Colossians 3:15)
4. Take a step. God guides moving feet.
What If I Choose Wrong?
God is not playing hide-and-seek with His will. He is a good Father who delights in guiding His children. Trust that He can work all things together for good (Romans 8:28).
